Our Leadership.
Zach Keele, Pastor
Rev. Zachary Keele grew up on a ranch in a small town named Crawford, Colorado. He attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and then received his Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California. He was ordained in February 2004 by the Southern California Presbytery and in the summer of 2006 was called to be our pastor.
John Earnest, Elder
I have been attending Escondido OPC since 2003, and was ordained as an elder in 2006. My wife and I have six children. I have an undergraduate degree in geological sciences, and later went back to college to earn a physics teaching credential. I enjoy teaching physics at Mt. Carmel High School, and in the summer I work as a lifeguard in La Jolla for the City of San Diego. I greatly appreciate the Good News I hear preached every Sunday at EOPC!
Hans Frank, Elder
I have been a member of the OPC for many years, attending congregations in both Northern California and Northern Virginia. My wife and I moved to the San Diego area in 2017 for work. We have three young boys that keep us very busy. I was ordained as an elder in 2020.
DJ Goodwiler, Elder
My wife and I have attended EOPC since we moved to Escondido in 2008 for school. I was ordained as an elder in 2020. I have previously studied at Westminster Seminary California and SDSU, and I am currently a high school teacher.
Bruce Settergren, Elder
I am retired from a 31-year career as a scientific programmer for a local defense contractor. I am the husband of my wonderful wife Deborah and father of four really cool kids and grandfather of eleven possibly even cooler grandkids. I became a believer in the Gospel of Jesus Christ the first time I heard it, which was from my mother and father when I was around two years old. In retirement, I spend my time trying to stay healthy and trying to improve my golf game.
Kyle Roest, Deacon
I have grown up in the OPC since 1994. I am currently active duty in the US Navy and am stationed in San Diego. My wife and I have attended Escondido OPC since 2016. I was ordained as a Deacon in 2020.
